butter London began in 2005 when Sasha Muir found herself frustrated with the nail salon choices in Seattle. Neighborhood salons offered little in the way of hygiene and product selection and larger day spas were only available by appointment and took more time and money than she had available. Sasha developed butter London to bridge the gap between high and low-end nail salons. She also set out to raise the standards in the nail care industry through better treatment and training of employees, use of only non-toxic products, and guarantees of good hygiene. Today, butter London products are free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP (dibutyl phthalate) and have been featured on the Tyra Banks Show, W Magazine, Marie Claire, Cosmo Girl, Allure, and the list goes on. Sasha likes to say that butter London "exudes British elegance with a hint of rock and roll."
