In 2003, Vervacious founders Heidi and Mark Stanvick found a way to combine their lifelong passions for gourmet food and travel. After selling their coastal New England home they sailed off in search of high adventure and exceptional flavors. Traveling aboard their ketch, “Verve,” they set off to explore America’s eastern shores, then sailed across the Atlantic by way of the Azores to Portugal and southern Spain, discovering at every port new, fine ingredients that would eventually form the basis of their company’s distinctive products. Heidi and Mark call their company Vervacious because it signifies the vibrant, exuberant, brilliant, inspired feeling they want products like their Mexican Spice Blends to express. These Mexican Spice Blends, like everything Vervacious offers, are artisan-made by hand in small batches in Maine.
