Created by Susan Morgan and her team of artisans at Elegant Cheese Cakes, exclusively for Cambria Cove, the design of the Rose and Ruffle Cheesecake was inspired by our Cabbage Rose Hostess Apron by Jessie Steele. The cake itself begins with a base of shortbread-macadamia nut crust. Built upon the crust are three layers of cheesecake, each flavored with a different chocolate: semisweet, milk, and white chocolate. The entire cake is then covered with a layer of imported chocolate and decorated. This Rose and Ruffle Cheescake has an edible icing blossom so lifelike, you’ll think it was just cut from a rose bush. "One taste and you’ll wonder how something so beautiful could be so delicious."
Elegant Cheese Cakes was started in 1988 by owner and pastry chef Susan Morgan after a cake she had created for her sister's wedding got rave reviews from the guests. According to Morgan, trial and error created the perfect cheesecake, which then grew into all kinds of traditional cakes. Morgan is inspired by nature and is passionate about using the highest quality ingredients, including imported chocolate, European butter, and pure flavorings and extracts.
