The story of Lapin Vilardi begins with a dusty shoe bag and a missing La Perla bra. One day while searching the back of her closet for a lost pair of wedges, Candice Lapin came upon a crumpled shoe bag. She thought “why not design a bag as stylish as the shoes it holds?” Even as she pursued a law degree, Candice’s passion for designing beautiful things never dimmed. So, during that holiday season, everyone on her list, including fashion model and long-time friend Erica Vilardi, received a handmade shoe bag. Not long after, Erica gave Candice a lingerie carryall she had designed, prompted by the loss of a treasured La Perla bra during a chaotic overseas shoot. Mutually impressed, the friends decided to combine their talents and start a business. Their Lapin Vilardi line of travel cases is designed for the “girl on the go” and reflects their love of travel and passion for all things pretty.
