This spectacular bracelet will become a personal favorite. Its mesmerizing shades of blue and green evoke the moods of the Mediterranean, contrasting with the creamy white intaglios and golden bezel settings. Notice the exquisite intaglio work on the piece; each is hand-pressed in a Bavarian village. Made of red bronze with tourmaline (green), olivine (smoky green), Zircon (bright blue) glass, and ivory opaque glass charms. Metal charms include two Victorian flowers, a fleur de lis, and a potted urn. 7” chain with 2” extender. Toggle clasp.
Cameos have fascinated people for thousands of years. Cameos were hand-carved by artisans from Torre del Grecco, Italy, the small seaside town where the art of cameo was invented and they are still produced today. This charm bracelet is a creative combination of traditional elements that you are guaranteed to enjoy wearing for years. Where a cameo is a relief image raised higher than the background, an intaglio is the opposite: a carving into the background, creating a recessed image. Each of Extasia’s intaglios is hand pressed by hand in a small Bavarian Village using original steel molds and traditional techniques developed in the 1800s. All Extasia designs are conceived and constructed in the company’s northern California workshop. When Stefanie Freydont founded Extasia in 1991 she envisioned a line of jewelry that reflected “classic beauty and old world craftsmanship,” but was also fashion forward, demonstrating “fresh and timeless aplomb.”
