Japanese Botanicals Boxed Cards from Cambria Cove

$30.00

  • Exclusive

Item #266228

One-of-a-kind botanicals discovered in a 19th-century Japanese sketchbook honor the covers of these note cards. The hand-drawn pen and ink line work is filled with bright watercolor for a delicate yet vibrant look. Assortment includes 5 each of 4 designs juxtaposed on distressed paper background. 20 blank notes with 22 lined envelopes in designed, hard-sided box. A Cambria Cove exclusive.

A rare antique personal journal dating from 1800s Japan provided the imagery for this set of note cards. Of particular interest is how the application of paint and color seem to infuse a sense of place. It’s almost as if one could picture the artist capturing these delicate botanical specimens outside in a Japanese garden in full sun. At Cambria Cove, we create stationery that breathes new life into the lost art of the personal note. We begin by selecting paper stocks that are both a pleasure to write on and to receive. Then we seek out beautifully distinctive works of art, from classic pieces by great artists of the past to visionary creations from today’s top illustrators and graphic designers. Finally, we craft our ideas using the finest printing and production techniques, so that the perfect means of expressing yourself and delighting your loved ones is always at your fingertips.
